How I Feel About People Stealing My Designs on Etsy

Going on a bit of a rant today...

If you followed along on my IG stories a few days ago then you know that I made the discovery that many of my designs were taken by other shops on Etsy.  Let's just say that I wasn't very happy, as you can imagine.  I spend A LOT of time coming up with sayings, getting inspiration and finding fonts so to have someone just take something I created is quite disheartening.

The Gameday Chic Christmas Photoshoot

I'm a little late in posting these adorable pictures from my most recent photoshoot with Hannah.  I  like to take professional pictures for my website about 4 times a year or when I have a new collection that i'm launching.

My Top 5 Things to Do/ Eat When Visiting Chicago

I wanted to share my top 5 things that you MUST see, do and eat at and NO they do not involve your usual touristy attractions like Navy Pier, deep dish pizza and the "Bean". After all, you're reading this because you want the inside scoop on the good spots, right?

Our Holiday Photoshoot

We haven't taken professional photos in such a long time... maybe since our wedding... 5 YEARS AGO! 😬
We decided that since we just moved to the city 3 months ago, we should document this part of our lives.  After a bit of searching and asking around, I found an AMAZING photographer.  Her name is Hannah and she is incredible.

Target Gift Guide (Under $100)

Who doesn't love shopping at Target this time of the year? Although if your like me and hate crowds then online shopping may be better suited for you. No shame! If I had to choose 1 store to shop at during this time of year it would 100% be Target.  They have EVERYTHING I need from gift wrap, to decorations, gifts, alcohol, food etc.

What We're Doing for the Holidays

The holidays are going to be a tricky time for us this year and every year moving forward since we moved from Dallas to Chicago a few months ago. Both of our families live in Dallas, so the holidays have never been an issue for us.  Every year, we would spend Thanksgiving with my husbands family, have Christmas Eve with my in laws and Christmas Day with my mom. (My parents are divorced and my dad lives in Eastern Europe.)

Nordstrom Gift Guide (Under $100)

Nordstrom is one of my tried-and-true retailers during the holidays, heck all year. The quality of the products never lets me down and the variety of the items they have is the best.  It doesn't matter if you are shopping for your family, friends or coworkers, you are pretty much guaranteed to find something here, no matter your budget.  Plus, their return policy is amazing.  Nordstrom is always my first stop when looking for gifts to purchase.  AND did you know they price match as well?

4 Easy Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

I've been getting so inspired for the holidays lately, that it took everything in me to not pull out all my Christmas decor the other day.  I love this time of the year so much but before I deck my apartment from head to toe with Christmas decor, lets take a second to talk about Thanksgiving Day and the fact that its less then 2 weeks away!

5 Tips for Staying Warm in the Winter

This past weekend me and Adam (my hubs) decided to venture out of Chicago and head north to Milwaukee for the day.  It is only a 1.5 hour drive so we figured why not.  We have officially been in Chicago for 3 months and thought that it might be time to rent a car and see something new.  We love to travel and love to experience new things so Milwaukee seemed to be the perfect place to go to for the day. We rented a car through Enterprise, here is Chicago (because we don't own a car anymore) and used our Chase Sapphire reward points that we had accrued and were on our way in no time.

How to Make Homemade Bone Broth

I love to cook.  I'm all about making yummy things that don't require a lot of time but are also delicious. Who likes to eat food that isn't good? Um NO ONE.

One of my favorite things to make is homemade bone broth.  Not only is it good for you, it tastes amazing especially in the colder months.  What I love most about bone broth is the health benefits it provides.  Bone broth improves gut health and as most of you know, your immune system is in your gut (digestive track).  A happy digestive system = happy life because no one has time to get sick or feel like crap.

A Little About Me + How I Started my Biz

Hi, my name is Andrea & I'm a small business owner.

It all started 2 years ago when I desperately wanted to quit my full time job and start a business of my own.  I wanted to be a my very own #bossbabe.

My whole life I had always been a go-getter.  My parents instilled that in me from a young age.  You see, I was born in a communist country.  Romania to be exact and fled to the United States with my parents in 1989.  We somehow landed in Dallas, Texas where my parents had to start a completely new life with a 2 1/2 year old baby (me).
