5 Easy Tips to Feel Less Bloated and Have More Energy

Hi babes! It's been a while since i've written a blog post but i'm BACK! If you want to know one thing about me, it is that i'm obsessed with health.  Your body is a temple right? Treat it with care and it will return the favor. With that said, a lot of you are interested in knowing how I stay healthy, especially when it comes to food.  To me, real food is better. You don't have be following the newest way of eating (paleo, keto, gluten free) to be healthy. Do what works for you.  Eat the foods you like but keep it clean.  Cut out the processed crap and start eating real foods, and I promise that if you are consistent, you will start feeling 100x better in 2 weeks.

Today i'm sharing 5 easy tips to start doing tomorrow that will make you feel less bloated, have more energy and start feeling amazing again.

Tip #1

Drink 12oz of lemon water as soon as you wake up in the morning.

Your body has been fasting all night and needs water first thing in the morning. Take a half of a lemon and squeeze it in your water (warm or cold-- I prefer mine ice cold).

Tip #2

Have a green juice/smoothie on an empty stomach.

Your body is in it's prime state to receive nutrients in the morning so why would you want to boggle it down with bacon and eggs first thing in the morning?

Here is what I drink in the morning that i'm obsessed with:

- 1 cup spinach
- spirulina powder 
- greens powder 
- 1 lemon
- ginger
- water

I put all of these ingredients in a magic bullet and blend for about 10 seconds.  If you like your juice cold, put a few ice cubes in your glass after you made your juice.  The consistency of this is like a thin smoothie.  If you want more of a "juice" then I would recommend getting a juicer. This one is on my list to purchase. 

Tip #3

Drink more water!

You have heard it time and time again, but it's true.  Our bodies are made up for 65% water. We need water to feel our best.  If you're feeling low energy, drink water.  If you're hungry, drink water. JUST DRINK WATER.  If you take away one thing from this post, drink the water. Am I stressing water enough?

Tip #4

Move more. 

This one is easier said then done right?  We are all busy with work, school and kids. Who has time to "move more"? I get it. Personally, i'm also quite busy and find it difficult to "move more".  I wanted to find something that I could do at home, didn't necessarily involve weights but would still "tone" me and relaxed my mind.  YOGA y'all! I'm not talking about spending $100+ a month on going to a yoga studio (but that would be nice).... i'm talking about YouTube Yoga.  It's all free, and you can find some amazing channels that offer all different kinds of practices to suit your level.  I'm a beginner beginner.

Tip #5

Eat real food. 

Food has such an impact on the chemistry in your body, your hormones and your digestive system.  Ever heard that your immune system is located in your gut? When you have a healthy gut, guess what?  You won't get sick as often.  Eating real food doesn't mean you have to buy everything organic or from an expensive place.  It's just about having lots of good options at home that you can reach for.   Skip the processed junk and go for vibrant colored foods instead.  It doesn't have to be anything in particular, just get what you like and start incorporating them.  It's easier to eat things that you like. :)
